Watertown Area United Way Black Out Period 

From Friday, September 1st to Tuesday, October 31st the 2023-2024 United Way Agency Programs may NOT run their own fundraiser(s), advertise for their own fudnraising efforts, and must advocate for the 2023-2024 Annual Campaign. Some funded programs may be allowed to be the recipient of a fundraiser if allowed permission by the United Way Board of Directors.

For agency program partners to receive permission to participate in a fundraising effort or acknowledge they may be the recipient of a fudnraising effort, they must submit a request/notice via email to director@watertownunitedway.org before the monthly United Way meeting. Calls are allowed when on short notice as a recipient, but requests must be submitted via email. Example) If you have an event in late October or early November and will need to plan, advertise, reach out t donors, etc. in Black Out please submit email request before September board meeting.
