Watertown, SD – Watertown Area United Way rallied volunteers into action to make a difference for United Way Day of Action, an annual event that galvanizes the caring power of volunteers to create positive change across the world.
This year Watertown Area United Way Board Members teamed up with district leadership from Watertown, Sioux Falls and Fargo Target stores to assist the PACH Program on Wednesday June 21, 2023, in preparing their July PACH distribution.
Watertown Target HR Manager, Mara Timmer said “We are proud of our team members’ commitment to making our communities a better place to live and work through a variety of efforts. We are excited for the opportunity to partner with Watertown Area United Way in their 2023 Day of Action. Our team is generous with their time no matter the location or time of year.”
Traditionally held on or around June 21, United Way Day of Action invites volunteers of all ages to come together to make their communities better. “United Way Day of Action supports the work that we undertake every day,” said Laura Heathcote, Executive Director “We’re mobilizing to improve lives here in Watertown and are engaging people in our work to improve health, education, and financial stability here.”
