Champion the cause.
Â
Â
What does it mean to advocate? Simply put, it means to speak out - to champion a cause. It doesn't mean that you have to go to your state legislature or Capitol Hill, or wirte letters or speak out at public meetings - although those are all good ways to advocate.
Â
But what if you're not a letter writer or public speaker? What can you do?
Â
Well, you can learn about the issues that affect your community. The fact that you're looking at this website indicates that you want to learn more. Read newspapers, Listen to what politicians and other community leaders have to say. Attend city, county, community meetings just to listen. Form opinions and share your opinions with others.
Â
So go ahead and advocate in a LIVE UNITED world. Do it in public. Be visible. Be loud.
